The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox is a flexible and efficient crossover that launches with a familiar 1.5-liter inline turbo-four engine that generates 175 horsepower and is paired with a continuously variable transmission in front-wheel-drive models or an eight-speed automatic transmission with optional all-wheel-drive. In Canada, all-wheel-drive is standard on ACTIV and RS trims. The Equinox can also tow a maximum capacity of up to 680 kg (1,500 pounds) in the optional all-wheel-drive format. For the first time, Equinox offers driver-selectable modes, accessed via a rotator on the centre console. The driver can select from Normal and Snow on front-wheel-drive models, and all-wheel-drive models also get an Off-Road mode.
