The lineup starts with the Equinox EV 1LT, which is a stunning-looking compact SUV with an impressive list of standard features. From the base model, you can move up to the 2LT, 2RS, 3LT, and top-of-the-range 3RS. The high-spec models are packed with standard equipment and the latest technology. However, lower trim levels are still generously equipped and represent a value-for-money proposition that’s hard to beat in the segment.
Electric vehicles are quite a significant departure for those brought up with internal combustion engines. Fast charging up to 150 kW is available and can add an extra 112 kilometers of range to the battery in 10 minutes.
The 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV would be a stylish, practical, and affordable compact SUV regardless of its powertrain, but it would still have to offer more than just zero-emission driving to be successful. The base model comes with standard 19-inch alloy wheels, 11-inch screens for driver information and infotainment, front and rear automatic emergency braking, active lane control, blind-spot monitors, automatic high beams, a heated steering wheel, and heated front seats. The main reason to move up a grade to the 2LT is for the larger battery and greater range, but it also gets you a front LED light bar and the option to upgrade to AWD and add some more advanced safety features from the options list.
The 3LT and 3RS models have standard AWD, heated front and rear seats, ventilated front seats, reverse automatic braking, a heated steering wheel, 21-inch wheels, adaptive cruise control, and a 17.7-inch diagonal touch-screen. GM’s Super Cruise is also available at 3LT and 3RS levels for a degree of autonomous driving on divided and compatible highways.
The 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV is far more than another new compact crossover SUV. The Equinox EV is a model that could change how you drive and think about driving forever.
